Our History

STAR was founded in the summer of 2000 by community members in the Catonsville and Relay area, led by Gina and Bill Hrybyk.
In the summer of 2002, Rosie Hrybyk added a two-week drama workshop for elementary school students to the STAR program, to complete her Girl Scout Gold Award. Since then, STAR has expanded its reach into the local community by offering three separate summer workshops for ages 4 through young adult and hopes to continue its growth and offer more programs throughout the year.
